As the fourth chapter in a huge Waltham Forest regeneration project, Greenleaf Play area was the latest East London playground to open last week. eibe is currently working on another two in the capital, with five more commencing after half-term.
The official launch day in late September 2013 welcomed children from the neighbouring Greenleaf School, as well as the local Mayor, who undertook the necessary ribbon-cutting duties.
“The kids absolutely loved testing out all the new equipment,” said Sandra O’Sullivan, eibe’s very own Cosmopolitan Consultant, “The day was made even more special for them, as we included a face painter, as well as free ice creams and goody bags. The feedback from all quarters has been amazing.”
The £75,000 scheme features a ‘special’ bespoke unit, designed by eibe’s Dominic Ballard. It includes 2 slides, one of which is a double, a wooden bridge connecting the 2 platforms, as well as a climbing wall with a tunnel going through it.
There is also a Daisy Nest Swing, a DDA seesaw, a minimondo Apple Unit, Trampoline, Spring Rockers and Play Boards, with accompanying planting, boulders and bedding.
