One Foot in The Grove

eibe Play showed intent in Kent, following a recent upgrade to an established play area in Tunbridge Wells. We originally installed our play equipment at The Grove back in 2004 and, in the summer, we caught up with Parks Technical Officer for Tunbridge Wells Borough Council, Kasia Olszewska-Martin, to discuss some important additions and repairs. In turn, the council worked alongside the ‘Friends of the Grove’ to ascertain what new equipment was required and where the essential repairs were needed most.

The £9,000 project entailed new parts and nets to the main playo Plamplona Unit, as well as adding some climbing panels and then painting the original roofs. We also replaced two chicken head posts that had been installed 13 years ago.

New features included a brand new balancing trail – the Terracombi Midi – put into grass matting and two play boards branded the Village Shop and the Frog Play Panel.
