Mob Barley and the Wailers

Mobs of school kids will be wailing with delight at a School in Gateshead, after the introduction of a fabulous new playground this summer.

eibe has worked closely with the Barley Mow Primary School on a Design, Supply and Installation of a bespoke robinia Trim Trail Feature at a cost of £12,000.

Headteacher Mr David Hewitson called us in April 2014, informing us that he was retiring and wanted to leave a lasting legacy for the children. He had seen some products that struck a chord with him in our outdoor catalogue and believed that investing in the Reception Nursery was the best gift he could give.

The departing Head had seen a sculpted Dragon play feature from our robinia range. Alas, it was far too big for the space available, so the Project Team sat down to come up with an imaginative solution in the shape of a tailor-made structure.

Our experienced team were able to sculpt something which fitted the space absolutely perfectly and retained a good proportion of the original units’ features and elements. The eye-catching unit now provides young children with climbing, balancing and hanging opportunities along the 2-headed dragons trail – a myriad of play activities.
