Making Haste in Hastings

Dating back to 1882, Alexandra Park in Hastings is one of the county’s best-loved attractions and is listed on the English Heritage Register of Historic Parks and Gardens. Its aesthetically pleasing steep slopes and contours make it a haven for natural play and eibe is delighted to have recently introduced a DDA Accessible unit to boost its popularity even more.

Hastings Borough Council, working in partnership with Charity for Kids, approached eibe with a view to creating something new and inclusive. Design and product specification were project imperatives, so the £20,000 bespoke unit includes Piano, Playboards, Talktubes and Telescopes, as well as other various play features, ensuring a wide-range of fun things for multiple users.

Despite a slight delay due to inclement weather, the new area was opened in April 2015 and is already being regularly enjoyed by local residents and visitors to the South Coast.
