Let Battle Commence!

The eibe team has had another incredibly busy year. With new installations being completed on a weekly basis all over the UK, it seemed appropriate that we squeeze one more project in before the festive break. So, down in deepest Sussex, a £50,000 scheme opened this week at North Trade Road Playing Fields in Battle.

The themed playspace, courtesy of Battle Town Council, commemorates the famous 1066 conflict and there are several surprise references dotted around the area, with the centrepiece Tunis Castle really standing out.

Officially opened on December 13th, our own Stuart Evans was on hand to cut the ceremonial ribbon and local children got first use of the array of great play equipment.

Two Horse Rockers stand symbolically at the gateway to the castle entrance which, in turn, leads to an oasis of play opportunities within the wooden structure. The castle features crossings, balance logs, slides, bridges and ascents. It is not only bursting with play value, but the field in Battle is a lovely venue for children of all ages to socialise and enjoy role play games.

Battle’s Clerk, Carol Harris, commented:

“The Council have asked me to say how delighted we are with the service provided eibe staff; from the initial consultation with Stuart through to the installation team.”

Cllr Glenna Favell added:

“The support and advice from Stuart has been amazing and the equipment is stunning.  We have already received a number of positive comments and the Castle play equipment has only been in place one day! I feel that it is something that Battle can be proud of for many years to come.”

As the song goes, Love is a Battle Field!
