eibe's Green Journey Continues Down Under

eibe Play has won a Green World Environment Award in the international campaign to find the world's greenest countries, companies and communities.

We competed against more than 500 other nominations in the Green World Awards for Environmental Best Practice, and we will be presented with our trophy and certificate at a glittering presentation in Christchurch, New Zealand on October 19. eibe has had previous successes in these prestigious awards, but it is the first time we have won a World Award and we plan to be down under in the autumn in persons to pick up the trophy.

eibe has also been invited to have our winning paper published in ‘The Green Book’, the leading international work of reference on environmental best practice, so that others around the world can follow our example and learn from what we have achieved over the last two decades.

The awards are organised by The Green Organisation, an international, independent, non-political, non-activist, non-profit environment group dedicated to recognising, rewarding and promoting environmental best practice around the world. They are supported by the Environment Agency, the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, the Chartered Institution for Wastes Management and other independent bodies.

Paul Redden, managing director of eibe UK, believes it’s important that more and more companies are being recognised for their sustainable ethos:

“We are delighted to have built on our successes over the years. Green Apple recognition has always been valuable to us as a business. To now take our CSR strategy to a global level is wonderful. And as a proud Kiwi, the organisers could not have picked a better country than New Zealand to host such a splendid occasion!”
