Captain Crawley rides the Camberley Waves

Crawley Ridge Infants School has recently unveiled a stunning eibe Pinta ship that looks all set to sail the Surrey waves of Camberley!

The £25,000 project was officially opened by the Deputy Mayor and its maiden voyage was welcomed with nautical songs and ship themed cakes for the excited children. A daring parent even dressed up as a pirate to be part of the ship’s crew!

eibe first went to see the school in July 2014 to look at some possible trim trail ideas, but, having browsed our catalogue, Head Teacher Susan Hope was immediately drawn to our Pinta Active Ship.

Susan loved not only the cosmetic nature of the ship, but also the multi-faceted play value that it offers. Children can enjoy social interaction and role play games, as well as upper and lower body strength activities. While comparing other quotes from competitors, the Head concluded that the quality of our equipment mad the final decision easy.

We worked alongside Surrey County Council to ensure that the scheme met their requirements for Physical Education and ensured the area chosen was suitable for the sheer size of the kit.

The installation, on blue themed bark, took place during the October half-term break, so everything was ready for the returning children.
